Book Review: One Indian Girl by Chetan Bhagat

If you're an avid reader and possess a sense of geek-vanity , you'll be able to be a fan of Chetan Bhagat. However, even though I do end up reading his works, I do not do this.

I was so thrilled to read his latest novel " One Indian Girl" (a. It was cheap. B. I would like to read it before I critiqued it. However, I wasn't sure if it would be possible for me to finish the book without getting annoyed by it. It was so good that I read it over two days and I ended up asking for more.

Radhika Mehta is an accomplished I-Banker that struggles to find the right balance between work and love in the men's world. She was taught that her excessive educationand wheaty skin made her men-repellent. However, she soon meets amazing guys who proved her to be wrong. They're influenced by their male chauvinistic mentality, which says a girl isn't able to have everything. They'll need to make difficult choices to remain in love with them.

Radhika throughout the novel is constantly trying to manage everything such as her career which is extremely successful and her messy relationship, and her obsession with her mother's wedding. She is like every Indian girl in 2016: confident and ambitious. She is looking for someone who doesn't insist on her choosing. She doesn't believe that her work matters more than your family or vice versa. This is because she believes she's prepared to handle anything whenever it comes.

Surprisingly, Radhika is me. I laughed with her, cried with her, felt angry at her, and felt helpless for her. It's exhausting to be an adult of 25 years old and earn a living in the big cities. You wear a brave smile and work hard every day. It can take a lot of you when life throws you unexpected curve balls such as heartbreaks or the stress of an unplanned marriage. You pretend it's just another battle with your mom and move to the next. Radhika knows that life can be challenging. You combat like a warrior, and it appears as if there was no loss (even even though you've lost your life at least a couple of times).

Chetal Bhagat has done an outstanding work with "One Indian Girl'. It was fascinating to watch his ability to capture the spirit an Indian girl today , and made it relatable by using Radhika. He was able of revealing the insecurities as well as inhibitionsof in an Indian man in the year 2016. It is less about a woman's beauty than it has to do through her brain. The book was enjoyable and was a relaxing read on a weekend however, I found the synopsis not convincing. Kudos!

This book is written for girls. It will make you realize that you are the real deal. Don't compromise on quality.

Guys, learn more about who you're working with by studying this book. It is important for you to have the maturity to understand the fact that you are dealing with someone who is not your own.

The controversial book "One Indian girl by Chetan Bhagat is highly-respected. Yes, Chetan Bhagat revolutionized the Indian (English-language) publishing industry in the past by advocating the aspirations and requirements of the next generation. This is not the same book. The brand is selling this book. The peoplebuy brands for various reasons. A large number of people will gather to purchase tickets for the first-day premiere of a film made by an established star. Are the films any good? It could be, but it could not be. People are there to see their star film and not because they think it's excellent. Bhagat's book provides an illustration of this. It is possible that she fell in the love of the three because she's so insecure she cannot believe they decided to. Low self-esteem women do bizarre things. I'm sure there are many high-achieving women who feel betrayed by men who don't deserve their respect. We don't have the power to tell Radhika what she should feel. The problem is that Bhagat cannot describe the reasons why she's attracted to guys who are not worthy of her respect. He believes that it's normal to smart, successful women to be infatuated with people who make a mess of things.

Let's face it. One Indian Girl is not intended to be a novel that is feminist. Bhagat's views could be more similar to that of Brijesh Gulati, his portrayal: "I believe all human beings deserve the same rights. There isn't a battle between men and women however, it's humans versus human. The term feminist is a misnomer. It should be humanist." This is also what Radhika Bhagat Bhagat's protagonist has drawn after her moment of self-actualization. "Everything doesn't require high-tech labels such as feminism. She declares "Just logic" and they both smile as they vanish in the distance. They're happy with their rationality and dismiss a 300-year-old, fierce social-political history. Does every story written from the perspective of women have to be feminist? It's not so. The problem is that Bhagat was unable to find the story, so instead of writing the book "from the point of view of a girl", it was a book on "the problems women face".
